For my foot the Tushar is hands-down the better product. The Altra Superior 4 is a very lightweight shoe with minimal underfoot padding.

And while we already know we love Altras FootShape toe box and the fact that almost all of their shoes are completely vegan ie. When my new Altra Tushar boots arrived last week I started with the thinner insolesock combo and immediately noticed extra tightness compared to my Lone Peaks. However I think Altra should also introduce a higher volumewider version for those with broader feet. Altra customer service is world class.
Despite being Altras first true hiker this boot still boasts the FootShape toe box that made Altras trail runners extremely comfortable. The shoes were mostly purchased for the gym and while the sole on mine is a bit soft for heavy lifting Im unsure of the model the fit and comfort is excellent. I complained about these and they let me trade for another model and they did not even want the Tushars.
